Claude: User guide

Use Claude to interact directly with Chameleon Copilot via MCP

Written by Brian Norton

If you're already working in Claude, you can use the Chameleon Copilot MCP integration to create and optimize existing Experiences, pull data on your onboarding flow, update a Tour's copy, or create an audience.

Connect your Chameleon account once, and ask Copilot to do the work - the change lands in your Chameleon account, your Experience data gets in Claude, and you manage your in-app Experiences using natural language, without breaking your flow.

How to set it up?

👉 First, an Admin needs to add the Chameleon connector once for your organization, then anyone can enable it.

3. In Claude.ai, go to Organization settings > Connectors

4. Click Add custom web connector

6. Save

Once the connector is added, everyone on the team can enable it for their account.

2. Enable Chameleon and click Save

3. Authorize your account

What you can do with Chameleon's MCP?

Talk to Copilot in natural language from any Claude conversation without opening the Chameleon dashboard.

Create and edit objects

  • Build Tours, Tooltips, Microsurveys, Embeddables, and Launchers

  • Edit existing Experiences: update copy, change targeting, modify steps

  • Create Experiences from a spec, release notes, or any doc you paste in

  • Build or update audiences based on user properties, events, or behaviors

  • Configure targeting rules

  • Generate or apply a Theme (share a brand doc or screenshot, and Copilot will extract colors and styles)

  • Add media (PNG, JPG, GIF) - upload them in the chat, and Copilot can attach them to your Experiences

Analyze performance

  • Get completion rates, drop-off points, and conversion data for any Experience

  • Analyze user feedback and engagement

  • Get recommendations for improving underperforming Experiences

Example prompts

  • "Create a 3-step tour introducing our new reporting dashboard to admin users."

  • "What's the drop-off rate on the onboarding tour, and what should I change?"

  • "Update the welcome banner copy to mention our new API integration."

  • "What Experiences do we have live?"

  • "Build a Theme based on this brand guide" [attach PDF]

Tips

  • Iterate in one conversation — Copilot keeps context across messages, so follow up naturally: "make the second Step shorter" after creating a Tour

  • Break up complex requests — create the Experience first, then set the audience, then set Goals.
