AI Controls" lets you decide which AI features are allowed to spend your credits, one capability at a time, rather than all or nothing. Each capability shows its cost before you enable it, so you can decide whether it's worth it first.

Where do I find AI Controls?
It's an accordion at the top of the Credits page, directly above your usage. It's collapsed by default; open it to see the toggles.
What can I turn on and off?
The toggles are grouped into three sections.
Group | What you're deciding | Can I change it? |
Always on, no credit cost | Nothing. Copilot and Ranger don't consume credits and are always on. | No, and there's nothing to decide |
Prism | Whether your Experiences adapt per user. Adaptive Microsurvey follow-ups today; personalized copy and Launchers are coming soon | Yes |
Compass | Whether Chameleon reads sessions and builds user summaries. Switching Compass off disables both summary types | Yes |
Why is one setting already switched off?
Session Summaries start switched off while everything else starts on. These are the largest consumer of credits, as Compass writes one for every user on every visit. Starting them off means nothing begins spending your balance before you've decided what you need.
đĄ Switch on Session Summaries when you want Compass to tell you what each user did in their last visit and where they ran into trouble, without you tracking a single Event.
Profile Summaries, the roll-up view of a user over time, start switched on.
What happens when I switch something off?
Turning a capability off stops new AI activity. It never removes anything you already have.
Profile or Session Summaries off: no new summaries are written. Every existing summary stays visible and usable.
Prism survey follow-ups off: your Microsurveys stay published and keep collecting responses. Respondents get your default thank-you step instead of an Adaptive follow-up.
đ Switching a capability back on resumes it. Nothing needs rebuilding, and everything Chameleon created stays the same; it just stops generating anything new.
How do I see what's being spent?
Below "AI Controls" on the same tab, your usage breakdown shows credits used by day and by product, and, for Prism, which Experiences consumed them.
Will Chameleon tell me when I'm running low?
Account Admins will receive email notifications:
Running low: when your balance falls below 2,500 credits, at most once a month
Out of credits: when your balance reaches zero, at most once a day
These are triggered by usage, so a quiet account won't be emailed.
