The Sessions tab in Insights is a live feed of your users' Sessions, each presented as a plain-language narrative rather than a list of clicks. Filter down to the Sessions you care about, then ask Copilot to summarize the themes across exactly what you're looking at.

What do I see in the Sessions feed?
Each entry shows who the user was (avatar and name, or UID), when the Session happened, how long it lasted ("2-minute session", "37-second session"), and a short narrative describing what the user did.
Sessions are ordered most-recent-first. The feed loads 50 Sessions at a time. Select Load more at the bottom to bring in the next 50. This isn't a live or auto-refreshing feed, so select the refresh icon above the feed to pull in any new sessions
How do I filter Sessions?
A filter bar sits under the header. You can combine any of the following:
Filter | What it does |
Keyword | Searches every Session's summary text across your entire Session history, not just the Sessions currently loaded on the page |
Segments | Shows Sessions from users who currently belong to the Segments you pick: this checks their Segment membership right now, not who they were in at the time of the Session |
Features | Shows Sessions in which a user engaged one of your selected Product Features. Archived Features aren't offered in the list. |
Date | Restricts the feed to a date range you choose |
Exclude short sessions | On by default. Hides Sessions shorter than 20 seconds. Find it under the ⎠menu on the right of the filter bar |
Once you've applied a filter, you'll see how many Sessions match, and an Ă next to each applied filter to clear just that one, or Reset search to clear everything at once. When a Keyword filter is active, matches are highlighted right in the summary text.
đ Your filters are saved to the page's URL, so you can share a filtered view or a Copilot conversation started from it with your team.
How do I discuss Sessions with Copilot?
Once you've applied at least one filter, a Discuss with Copilot button appears above the feed. Selecting it opens Copilot already scoped to the exact set of Sessions you filtered to: it reads their summaries and reports back the recurring themes (what users were trying to do, and where they got stuck).
This requires AI features to be enabled on your account; if you don't see the button after filtering, check with your Admin.
How do I see more about a user from their Session?
Select a user's avatar or name on any entry to open their profile, and explore more Sessions or data.
Why don't I see any Sessions?
Your filters may be too narrow: select Reset search and try again
Confirm your Product Features are set up, since Compass uses them to make sense of what it's reading.
đ The Sessions tab shows every session Compass has tracked. Sessions without a written recap appear as processing. To see Sessions, switch on Session Tracking in Account â Credits.
