Pinning keeps the pages, Experiences, Segments and Copilot chats you use most one click away, in the "PINNED" group of your Dashboard sidebar. Each pin normally shows the same name as the page or record it points to, but you can give any pin a custom name of your own, reorder your pins, remove ones you don't need, or manage all of it by asking Copilot.

What can I pin to my navbar, and how do I do it?

đ For tabs, only the tab you're currently on shows a pin icon on hover. Switch to the tab you want, then hover over it. Your own Profile page can't be pinned. Whole navbar sections like "Features", "Guidance", "Data," and "Governance" can't be pinned as a section; pin the individual page you use most instead.
To unpin, hover the same item again and click the pin icon.
How do I rename a pinned item?
Click the pencil icon next to "PINNED" in your navbar to open the "Manage pinned items" window. Each row already shows the pin's current name; type over it to set a custom name, then click Save. Your custom name only changes what you see in your own navbar; it never renames the underlying page, Experience, Segment, or Copilot chat, and no one else's navbar changes.
To go back to the original name, clear the field and save. The original name reappears as the field's placeholder and is what your navbar will show.
How do I reorder or remove pinned items?
Open the same "Manage pinned items" window from the pencil icon. With two or more pins, drag any row by its handle to change the order in which it appears in your navigation, or click the trash icon on a row to remove it. With a single pin, the window opens straight into rename mode, since there's nothing to reorder yet.
Can I ask Copilot to manage my navbar pins?
Yes. From a Copilot chat in your Dashboard, you can ask things like:
"Pin the Sessions tab to my navbar"
"Rename my Segments pin to VIP users"
"Unpin Styling"
"Pin this chat to my navbar"
âš Copilot can only manage pins from a chat in your Dashboard. It can't pin, rename, reorder, or unpin anything from Slack, Linear, or the Copilot MCP tool.
Why does my pinned item show a particular icon?
A pinned Experience, Segment, or Copilot chat keeps its own icon. A pinned page that has no icon of its own automatically shows the icon of the navbar section it belongs to, for example, pinning a page under Integrations shows the Integrations icon. There's currently no way to choose a different icon for a pin.
What are the limits?
Custom pin names: 40 characters
Pins per person, per workspace: 100
