The Dashboard navigation is organized around what you're trying to do. Copilot is where you ask for things and hand over work. Insights tells you what's happening in your product. Features is what Chameleon understands about your product. Guidance holds everything you show to end-users. Styling, Users, and Governance control how it looks, who sees it, and what's allowed.
This guide covers each area and what you'd go there to do.
💡 Want more room to work? Use the pin icon at the top of the navigation to collapse it, or keep it pinned open. Chameleon remembers which you chose.
What's new in August
An earlier update grouped related pages together and tidied the Navbar. This one goes further: it reshapes the navigation as Chameleon becomes a self-improving product system, around what you're trying to do:
Copilot is the top page, previously Home, where you can chat, build, or manage your scheduled runs
Insights is a new section for performance, behavior and friction
Features is where you define your product features and what you want Compass to track
Guidance is where you'll find all the in-app Experiences you build and show to end-users
Nothing you've built has moved or changed. Your Experiences remain unchanged, settings, Segments, analytics and Styling all carried over.
🚀 We're rolling the new navigation out gradually to all accounts, so it may not be on yours just yet. You can continue to use CMD+K (HelpBar) to navigate your Chameleon account as usual.

Copilot: your starting point
Copilot is where you land when you log in, where the old Home used to be.
Ask anything: ask a question, request a change, or describe something you want built. You can also create a task to run on a schedule.
Ready for you: results from your scheduled tasks, waiting for review. Open a card to go into that run's conversation.
Copilot suggests patterns and opportunities from your recent account activity. Dismiss any that aren't useful.
Your recent conversations appear below the main input: continue the last one or search all past chats.
Insights: what's happening in your product
Insights brings performance and behavior together, across four tabs:
Tab | What it shows |
Insights | Your personal dashboard, built from the metric blocks you choose |
Sessions | A readable narrative of what users did, with filters to narrow down on specific audiences or features |
Friction | Compass reports where users are getting stuck |
Ranger | Your Governance Agent, now alongside the data it acts on |
ℹ The Insights tab is yours to customize with the blocks you care about (e.g. your MTUs, User Retention, Experiences Leaderboard) and change them whenever.
Features: what Chameleon has detected in your product
Chameleon detects your Features and lists them here for review: confirm each one, edit its description, or remove it if it isn't a real Feature. Add New covers anything Chameleon hasn't picked up.
This is worth checking early, as your feature list is what gives Copilot, Compass, and Prism their understanding of your product. Confirming your Features makes every suggestion, Segment, and personalization more accurate
👉 This list used to live inside Product Context. If you reviewed and confirmed your Features there, nothing changed for you.
Guidance: everything you show to users
Guidance is the home for everything you show to users, across five tabs: In-apps (Tours, Tooltips, Embeddables, Launchers), Microsurveys, Demos, Automations, and HelpBar.
A shared search and filter bar sits above every tab, so you can find anything by name, pattern, status, or tag.
To build a new in-app Experience manually, visit the Guidance page and use the create button at the top right.
ℹ Every Experience you've built, with its settings, targeting, and data, your Governance settings and Styling are unchanged.
Styling: how your Experiences look
Styling is where you control the look of everything you show to users. Themes give you brand-wide control over color, type and spacing, applied at account level or per Experience. Update a Theme and every Experience using it updates too.
Users: who sees what
Users is where you build audiences and look up individuals. Create Segments from user properties, behavior, plan or lifecycle stage, then target Experiences at them. You can also open a single user to see their properties and history.
Governance: the rules of your account
Governance is where you set what's allowed: which domains Experiences run on, how often can users see your Experiences, where can an Experience display, or not.
Environments — control which domains your Experiences can display on
Rate Limits — limit how often end-users see in-app Experiences
Elements Detection — make sure Experiences display as expected when attached to on-page elements
Alerts — get notified when users aren't engaging with your Experiences
Exclusion Rules — set account-wide rules for who or where to skip
Controls — set how Chameleon can operate, plus access and security settings
Logs — the full record of what your team and Copilot did
Settings and your Account
At the bottom of the navigation you'll find the setup and administrative side of Chameleon: Installation, Product Context, Integrations and Data Management, plus your Account: Profile, Workspace, Team roles, plan and billing.
