Whenever you run a CSV export in Chameleon (Microsurvey responses, campaign engagement, Segment members, and more), you don't have to wait for an email with the result. The Exports page in Data Management lists every export you've run, its current status, and a download link as soon as it's ready.
How do I get to the Exports page?
Go to Data Management → Exports in your Dashboard. You can also get there right after starting a new export: the confirmation message includes a "View exports" link that opens the Exports page in a new tab.
Each row shows:
Name — what was exported (e.g. the Segment, Tour, or Microsurvey it came from)
Type — the kind of export, such as Microsurvey responses, campaign actions, or segment members
Created — when the export was run
Status — see below
Actions — download and/or run again, once available
Exports are listed with the most recent first, 30 per page.
What do the export statuses mean?
Status | What it means |
Queued | Your export is waiting in line and will start shortly. |
In progress | Your export is being generated. |
Completed | Your file is ready to download. |
Failed | Something went wrong. Read why below. |
ℹWhile an export on the page is Queued or In progress, Chameleon checks automatically for updates, so you don't need to refresh.
How do I download a completed export?
Click the download icon next to any completed export to open the CSV in a new tab. Completed exports stay listed and downloadable, so you don't need to re-run an export or search your inbox for an old email to get the file again.
ℹ If you originally sent the export to Google Drive, the download icon opens your Google Sheet directly instead of downloading a CSV.
How do I run an export again?
Click the refresh icon next to any completed or failed export to run it again with the same settings. The new export appears at the top of the list once it's queued.
⚠️ If the export was originally sent to Google Drive and your connection has since expired, you'll be prompted to reconnect before it can run again.
Do I still get an email?
Yes, email delivery hasn't changed. The Exports page gives you a faster way to check on an export's progress, and a permanent place to find it.
