The Users page is where you can review and utilize user and company data. Create custom audiences and see individual user profiles with their properties and Experience engagement, or view all companies with their user counts and company-level attributes.

Filter by properties, create Segments for targeting, export lists for analysis, tag users for custom audiences, and access detailed slideovers showing engagement history. This is where you work with your users and accounts day-to-day.

โ„น๏ธ Chameleon displays user and company data in slideovers throughout the Dashboard, making it easy to understand individual users and their accounts. This includes data that you send to Chameleon and also engagement data via Chameleon Experiences (e.g. the Tours a user has started or reponses to a Microsurvey).

The Users page

The All Users tab shows you all identified users in your your account. Add filters to the list to create custom audiences or click any user to open a slideover and see their profile.

User Slideovers show a snapshot of that user: all user properties, Segments they're in, Experiences they engaged with or responses from Microsurveys, plus the company they belong to. Any data that Chameleon collects or that you send will show up here.

You'll see these when viewing individual users or user counts in Chameleon:

โ„น๏ธ If you're viewing a Segment in the slideover you'll first see the list of users, and by clicking on a user you'll open the associated profile for that user. From the Actions dropdown, you can also Tag users, export as CSV, or use create a new Segment in Chameleon.

๐Ÿ‘‰ The slideovers show the current state of user profiles in relation to a specific Experience, and not a comprehensive 'list of completions'. If a user engages with the same Experience multiple times, their last interaction state overwrites the current state.

From these slideovers you can also Tag users to create new custom audiences or click the company name to jump to that company's profile.

The Companies page

Companies tab gives you a dedicated space to see all your accounts organized by company: review user counts, filter by company properties that you're sending, export lists, and create Segments starting from the account level.

Clicking on a company (or a company badge from a user profile) will open the company slideover. These show all company properties synced to Chameleon and the list of users associated with it.

Deleting Users & Companies

You can remove existing users in any Segment or from your All users list - simply select one (or several) and use the Actions menu to delete them. You can use Shift-select to delete multiple users.

โ„น๏ธ This will remove a user's profile and all the associated data, including Experience interactions or Microsurvey responses.

๐Ÿ‘‰ You can also use our API to delete users and companies from your account.

โ„น๏ธ When deleting companies, we delete the company record itself and remove the company from all profiles associated with it. You can also remove the associated profiles (users).
