Create interactive Demos to show off features before users sign up, or guide users with hands-on learning. With Chameleon, you can build Demos by talking, get auto-generated "Campaign Kits," and understand how Demo engagement powers product adoption.

Here are the steps to get started and create your Demos in minutes.

Step 1: Create your account

To begin using Chameleon:

  1. Sign up at Chameleon's website using your work email

  2. Create your account using either your company email or your company Google account

!You can not use Chameleon as an individual. To create an account, use your company email or company Google account.

Once you create your account, you'll have access to the Dashboard, where you'll be able to access and edit your Demos. The Get Started page provides an overview of the steps needed to set up your account.

Step 2: Get the Chrome Extension

To record interactive Demos, you'll need to install the Chameleon Chrome extension in your browser.

Once you have this installed, you can open the extension in your product to start recording.

Step 3: Pick a plan

You can create Demos for free with Chameleon or opt for a paid plan with the AI+ add-on to access more features for Demos.

πŸ”“ With the Free plan, you can create unlimited Demos with the basic screen-capture functionality, launch connected integrations from Chapters, or capture users' emails.

πŸ” With AI+, you can add voice narration to Demo recordings to create your Demo faster. You'll also be able to tie Demo engagement to in-app guidance by targeting identified viewers with in-app Experiences, and more!

Step 4: Record your Demo

That's all you need to create Demos with Chameleon! You can open the extension and start recording. When you're finished, you can edit your Demo in the Dashboard:

  • Add Chapters to introduce users to your Demo, or branch out topics

  • Upload custom screenshots or videos to showcase your product

  • Use Pan & Zoom to attract attention to features in your UI
