With any Launcher you create in Chameleon, you can easily add a search box component, to let users find help even faster.

While configuring your Launcher using the Builder, you can easily add a search component from the Interactions section of the Builder.

Once you add it, you can change the placeholder text to invite your users to action, in a way that is characteristic of your brand. 😊

After adding the search box to your Launcher, your users will be able to type into it and filter items.

Chameleon looks at the input from the user and will match the results with any of the following:

  • Item title

  • Item description

  • Experience name (e.g. Tour name)

  • Experience content (e.g. Step content)

  • Link item URL

πŸ’‘ If you have a lot of items within your Launcher, and a max height restriction, such that only a few can show, the Search component can be very helpful to your users in finding the relevant content.

For example, you can add links to the most useful help articles for the Launcher on a specific page, and let users search for the most helpful article there.
