With new features and a boost to the Chameleon Dashboard, delivering Experiences gets a lot easier now. Read on to know what's changing to your Chameleon account by July 30th and see how you can join the new UI.

If you're curious to try it out right away, you can switch to the new UI from your Dashboard, using the Toggle on the "Rights" page. The process will not be reversible, so maybe watch the video below for the overview before jumping in. πŸ˜‰

Quick-access

πŸ‘€ If you want the quick run-down, here's a short video about the changes coming your way:

For better in-product delight with Chameleon, you will create and configure all Experiences from your Dashboard. The Builder continues to ensure complete customization and styling on your interface, while the Sidebar will be leaving its full usefulness to the Dashboard.

To create an Experience, pick it from the left-side menu. After choosing the Experience type, continue adding individual steps in the Dashboard. You can then open each one in the Builder to adjust its positioning and styling.

Alternatively, you can add new steps from the Builder's top bar. Any changes you make on your website to your Experience steps will visibly update in the Dashboard. πŸ˜‰

πŸ’‘ 'Announcement' and 'Walkthrough' are the new names for the Manual and Automatic Tour types.

When you're done styling the Experience on your interface, go back to the Dashboard and follow the next steps to make sure it reaps success. Back there, you'll notice it's now easier to manage, duplicate, rearrange, or delete your steps. 😊

πŸ’‘ The key features when configuring your Chameleon Experiences remain the same - creating custom audiences, running A/B tests, and setting Goals. But Recurrence gets an update with time-based options.

🎯 We know it tends to get crowded after a while, so don't waste a beat searching through created Experiences to make iterations. When you want to go in and edit a past Experience, you will be able to apply a filter and find the right one.

Now, the best way to control where your Experience displays is by grouping your domains and subdomains into Environments. This way, you will be able to set where your Experience will show based on your development needs.

You can Schedule your Tours or Microsurveys to start being displayed at a custom time in the future. The same goes for unpublishing your Experiences. πŸ˜‰ For Microsurveys, you'll also have the option to unpublish it after a set number of responses.

To be more efficient, you can now use the Chameleon HelpBar to easily search and switch between Chameleon product components and guidance. Use CMD+K (on Macs) or CTRL+K (on Windows) to bring it up anywhere in Chameleon.

Search through Chameleon Help resources, best practices, Developer docs, Experiences, or pages, and navigate to any of them without interrupting your flow.

No new tabs, no wasted time. πŸ™Œ

When you're ready to try out the new flow and features, go to your Chameleon Dashboard and activate it. Use the Toggle in Settings, under the "Rights" page to switch to the new UI.
