How does this integration work?
With this integration, you can enable users to launch a G2 review modal in your product and fill in the review without visiting the G2 website.
The G2 integration enables you to meet users where they are and increase the likelihood of capturing reviews. This is especially valuable for growing your G2 presence and improving rankings. It also impacts brand credibility, making your product more appealing to potential customers researching products in the same category.
π This integration is available for plans with the "Review Growth" module, as this integration requires access to G2's "Review Collection API" and will not work with the G2 Core plan alone.
Before setup
To use the G2 integration with Chameleon, you need to request credentials from the G2 team to use the in-app Review Collection API. This will allow your users to bypass the required login to submit their review in-app.

Partner URL | G2 generates a base Partner URL for your product, which you will use to request a token and access your review form. |
API token | Your API token is used to authenticate requests for review form access tokens. |
Product ID | G2 assigns an ID to each of your products listed on G2. In your request for a review form access token, you will send your product ID with your API token. |
You'll use these to set up the G2 integration in your Chameleon dashboard.

Setting up the integration
First, head over to the G2 integration page in your Dashboard and click "Enable" to activate the integration on your account.

To finalize the setup, you'll need to fill in these fields with the information provided by the G2 team:
Partner name -- enter your Partner Name in the field, and Chameleon will generate your review URL automatically.
API Token -- add the new G2 token you receive from the G2 team
Product ID -- add your Product ID
After you click "Save" the integration will check the sync and show up as connected in a few moments.
Next, you can find the G2 integration as a button Action in the Builder.
How to use it?
To prompt users for G2 reviews, select the button you want to use in your Experience and select the G2 option under Additional Actions.
You don't need to do anything else from here. Chameleon will automatically generate the review link, and users will see the G2 review modal when they click the button.
βΉ The review form will not appear in "Preview mode," but you can test it live. This requires the user viewing the live Experience to be logged in and have an email associated with their account. If the user has no email specified, the user will be redirected to the G2 website, where they can log in and share the review.
If users previously left a G2 review, they can update their existing review.
