Chameleon automatically collects data about your Embeddables' performance to help you determine where you can improve. You can access and review this data in your Dashboard or export it to analyze along with your other product events and gain a more holistic understanding of how you drive users' behaviors.

How can I review my Embeddables data?

In your Chameleon Dashboard, you can conduct a quick analysis to understand how your Embeddables perform and how users engage with them.

As your product events are uniquely tied to your users' behaviors, you'll probably also want to include your Chameleon data in your broader analytics processes for a complete picture. There are three ways you can review Embeddables data outside of Chameleon:

We recommend you analyze performance as soon as possible and optimize to increase effectiveness. Start at a spreadsheet level until you have a dedicated analytics system you can leverage πŸ˜‰

What data do I have available?

Chameleon collects Embeddables events such as Embeddable started, completed, or exited. These events have some useful properties attached and a UID, to make it easier to understand where your Embeddable was seen, when the event occurred, or other browser-based properties.

See our Data Schema for the full details on the data that Chameleon collects (for Embeddables and other Experiences).

Embeddables reporting

In your Dashboard, you can review the overall or individual performance of Embeddables. Use the charts on the main Embeddables page, charts to help you assess the overall engagement.

Come here to see how many Embeddables you have live, how many have been seen each week, how many monthly active users you have, and your weekly "Engagement Index".

Use the "Performance chart" and the "Totals summary" to know how many users see and complete your Embeddables. Low completion rates combined with a low "Engagement Index" indicates room for improvement -- see if you can optimize how you deliver your Embeddables and revise your audience.

In the table below, you can review individual metrics when it was last seen, or started as well as the individual "Engagement Index" for each Embeddable, or the target audience.

Individual Embeddable Analytics

For each Embeddable you have live, you can always switch to the Analytics page in your Dashboard to check its performance. Use the "Performance chart" and review your daily "Engagement index" to know how your Banners or Cards are performing.

The Analytics page shows the same sections for both Banners and Cards, including the individual "Engagement Index", and the Interactions section. But with Banners, you'll also find a section showing the performance of each Variant in your A/B Test.

β„Ή On an individual Embeddable, the "Engagement Index" will show a daily score (depending on how long it was live) while on the Homepage and Embeddables page, you'll see a weekly score (over 6 weeks).

The "Interactions" section is a good way to identify what users click on and what they're not engaging with, to optimize their experience.

The green counter indicates how many users have seen your Banner/Card and the blue counter indicates how many users clicked on each button/option.

πŸ” With Banners, you can also leverage Conversion Goals (on Growth & Enterprise plans). This enables you to use in-product events to mark Banner completion.
